Waiting, Waiting and More Waiting
Some say we spend a lot of time waiting. At red lights, seems like it takes forever for the light to change, lines at grocery stores, traffic on highways, sermons to end, getting on airplanes. Lots of time just waiting.
Even Jesus had to wait nine months to be born, and then He had to wait until he was 30 to do what He wanted to accomplish in His ministry. He surely must have had a lot of patience. How about us? Patience is a virtue. And at this time it seems we may be in short supply of it. While Christmas is just a few days away, we still have to wait.
A suggestion for patience in all of these situations. Why not think of a person, perhaps a friend, family member or just someone who really needs a prayer from you. This little time of prayer will take some of that waiting time away. Even Mary and Joseph had to wait. And I am sure they spent a lot of that waiting time in prayer. May this Christmas bring you and your family great joy. Thanks for your love and support of the Vincentian Parish Mission Center and its ministry.
