National Saying Something Nice Day
June is here. Summer is here. Time to enjoy the world God gave us. Don’t let the summer go by without taking advantage of the opportunities you have to enjoy life. It is so precious and you just never know how long it will last. My first action of June was to thank God for the surgeons who gave me better sight so that I could enjoy the beauty of God’s creation.
On the first day of June, the gospel at Mass was one of the few times when we could read how Jesus prayed. He asked His Father to look out for all of us. He told His Father that He wanted us to have a close relationship with God as He had. He asked His Father to make sure that we would have the joy that He had. It was just so nice to hear how Jesus prayed and it was for us. And to add to this first day of June….it has been named the National Saying Something Nice Day. What a nice way to begin June and the summer. They laughed at Lincoln, but he went and built the highway anyway. But I will begin by saying how nice it is that so many of you enjoy what our Parish Mission team does.
