Spiritual Reflection

What a great feast day to celebrate!  St. Joseph is everyone’s saint.  So many can identify with him.  He didn’t get a lot of press; so little is mentioned about him; so little is known about his life.  He comes in third when talking about the Holy Family.  But such an important person in salvation history.  He did what he had to do to protect and make life for his wife and child so special.  It is our call to be like him.

We don’t need the press to make a difference.  Just simply do it, like Joseph I always wondered what those early years of the Holy Family were like.  This carpenter had his Son working in that shop for 20 years.  What did Jesus learn from His dad?  My celebration honoring St. Joseph will be to be reminded to simply DO It!  Make a difference and not be concerned about the press.
