Spiritual Reflection

I chose this picture since Mary is the Patronnes of our country and we need her help as we witness the devastation and loss of life from hurricane Helene.  Question arises-“Why?”

The famous pastor Rev. Robert Schuler said that God will never answer the Why question.  He didn’t for his only Son when Jesus cried out, “Why have you abandoned me?” The reason Dr. Schuler said God won’t answer is because He will not enter into a debate with His children.  If He were to answer and I don’t like his answer, I’ll just ask another question.

So what do we do with these tragedies?  For those who have died, God called them home.  But if our advancement in science and technology causes upheaval in nature we need to at least ask some questions.  In the end there is no answer to WHY, but as Dr. Schuler often said, “life is not fair but God is good!”
