Fr. Dick’s Spiritual Reflection – 12/19/2016
Prayers during the last week of Advent.
In this last week of Advent, we are reminded of the coming of Christ into our hearts and how wonderful this is. However some of our friends hearts are heavy at this time. They have lost loved ones and it is important that we show our support for them with our prayers.
Mike Sawhill lost his mother, Mary. She was a frequent member of our Mission Cruise trips and we thank God for her life and pray for Mike and his family.
John Hoag, the husband of Doris, a former lay board member of the Vincentian Mission Center has been called home to be with Doris. We pray especially for all the members of the Hoag family.
Finally, Louise and Gerry Cipriani, also frequent members of our Mission Cruise trips have lost their grandson who was to be born this week. God has called little Jude home before he had a chance to live in this world.
As you can imagine this is an incredible suffering for Jude’s parents and the whole family to endure. We pledge our prayers and love for them.
For these and any of our other friends who may have lost a loved one, we are deeply sorry and promise our prayers
