Spiritual Reflection

While some are aware that today, February 14th, is Valentine’s Day, it happens to be Ash Wednesday and the beginning of Lent.  As we know, Lent is a time to reflect on what Jesus did for us and what we can do NOW to thank and honor Him.

I thought I would offer a list of some possible actions that should please Jesus.

1. Be patient with the person who drives you crazy.
2. Affirm someone you have never affirmed before.
3. Attend Mass more often during lent.
4. Give whoever is in front of you your full attention.
5. Begin each day with a prayer of gratitude.
6. Take an interest in someone you don’t like.
7. Pray before making a decision.
8. Overlook an offense against you.
9. Read from the bible everyday.

And number 10, at least think about these possibilities.  I hope that this Lent is very meaningful for you.  I pray that when Easter comes, you will experience a special relationship with Jesus who has done so much for us.  God Bless
